the 12 Meditations on the Impossibility of Touch were made in 2002, or thereabouts. They were made from 5mm mild steel rod with some welding and presented on 950mm tall 20mm square plinths with a 50mm recessed top. Half the recesses were filled with salt and half with sugar so that the ‘legs’ of the meditations emerge and the connection between the two sides is hidden.
